High quality, plain weave Carbon/Kevlar hybrid fabric, woven from Carbon and Kevlar. The ratio of Carbon to Kevlar is 2:1 in the warp and 1:2 in the weft. This fabric was originally designed to increase the stiffness in the warp (lengthways) for the manufacture of windsurfers and surfboards, and is commonly used in canoes and kayaks.
The Carbon Fibre will provide the stiffness required, whilst the Aramid will provide the impact and abrasion resistance. This is a unique looking cloth used in all aspects of motor sport and marine applications. Compatible with Epoxy and Polyester Resins. This cloth has good drape-ability, is easy to handle and is used in Vacuum Bag techniques, Resin Infusion and Hand Lay – up.
